Comedian/Musician J.R. Brow is bringing his high-energy show to Paddy's

Everyone starts somewhere. I consider myself lucky that I began my stand-up career in San Francisco, one of the great cities for comedy, and home to the San Francisco Comedy Competition, one of the most prestigious contests in the field. I even got to help with the competition, which gave a boost to the careers of Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Ellen DeGeneres, and many more names you’d recognize. However, had I gotten to town a few years earlier, I would have had the pleasure of watching a young J.R. Brow rise through the ranks.

J.R. started comedy straight out of college, in Austin, Texas which is another great comedy city. Eventually, he started touring and quickly made his way entertaining folks across 49 states and 4 continents. He was relatively new to stand-up when he competed in San Francisco, and yet he placed in the top five along with Doug Stanhope and Dane Cook. Throughout his career, he has opened for Dana Carvey, Ray Romano, and my all-time favorite comedian, Bill Hicks. He has been featured on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" and CBS’s "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" as well as many other television spots along the way. You know, I went to college around the same time as J.R. in Austin too, only my dumb ass waited to get into stand-up.

He is a hilarious comedian, but also an accomplished musician. J.R. truly shines when he brings his guitar into the act and really electrifies the audience. Now he is bringing his unique style to Paddy’s on May 14th, and I consider myself lucky that I get to host. Get your tickets today!
