Waitaminute Who’s This Dude?

Hey gang! If you’ve been hanging around Paddy’s for the comedy shows lately, you might have noticed a new face on stage. Okay, maybe an old, bearded face but new to Paddy’s anyway. That face belongs to me. Eww why would he admit that? Trust me, I’ve owned this face my whole life and I know what it looks like.

I’m the new host of Comedy & Cocktails and I thought an introduction was in order. On stage I go by Dr. Brian King. Yes, I am a doctor. No,I cannot write you a weed script. I’m just a psychologist turned stand-up comedian. I wanted to be a comedian way before I even went to college but somehow the degree came first. Eventually, I got around to pursuing my lifelong dream and began my comedy career in 2009 in San Francisco, California. I started later in life, but doing so gave me wisdom, perspective, and the ability to open my own comedy club which ran for a few years in Fisherman’s Wharf. When the club closed, I moved to Los Angeles, got an agent, and started touring the world. I spent almost a decade on the road until I accidentally started a family and realized that life in motels and comedy clubs was not the best way to raise a new human. I had some family in Fayetteville, so I moved here. You know, for the free babysitters.
