Did You Know
1. Solstice in Gaelic is "Grianstad " and means 'sun-stop'. It’s one of two peak moments of the light and dark interplay in the universe. Typically observed between June 20th and 22nd, this astronomical turning point has been marked in Ireland for thousands of years. In ancient times, pagans believed that the summer solstice was when the sun was at its highest, which made it powerful. Due to this, the summer solstice became a sacred time of year.
