Jenna Argent – Sublime Wine & Design

BY Elaina J. Martin

After meeting Jenna Argent, who owns Wine & Design with her husband Michael Argent, I wonder, why in the world have I not taken a class at Wine & Design?! “Anyone can do it,” says Argent. “I mean, if I can do it, anyone can do it.” There is something for everyone – toddlers in the mornings, kids after school, adults in the evenings. “We’ve had all ages participate in the studio from 5-99 years old.”

It isn’t just in their recently relocated studio where the franchise company, Sip & Paint, provides activities for creativity. You can find an artist leading a class on Paddy’s Patio on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Paddy’s is one of the Los Angeles native’s favorite places in town to hang out. Argent says, “It has so much to offer. It doesn’t feel like you're in Fayetteville.” Though usually capped at 15 guests on the patio, the studio can accommodate up to 50 people at a time in its front and back rooms. As for the wine, it is a “bring your own beverage” thing. Wine & Design provides cups and bottle openers, but it is up to you what you sip on in class.

The self-proclaimed “eccentric, quirky, and funny,” Argent never imagined she would own an art company. When her husband was retiring from the military, he took his daughter into a Sip & Paint class and found that the downtown Fayetteville business was for sale. They bought it in 2022. “In the beginning, I was upset, it wasn’t something I wanted to do,” says Argent. “As the years have gone by, I have become thankful for the business.”

“I am super thankful for the artists who teach the classes,” Argent says. “I’d have nothing without them.” The company has a canvas painting division in which everything you need to make your own stunning painting is provided and runs $37-$42. There is also a DIY division with projects including door hangers, resin, chunky blankets, and even stained glass. These DIY projects cost a little more, but invariably the class takes longer to complete. They range from $75-$95. Paddy’s classes cost $40. Sip & Paint is located at 2180 Skibo Road.
